2023 WVSSAC Robotics State Championship

Join us for the WVSSAC Robotics State Championship, held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the Fairmont State University Feaster Center!

The event will be open to teams from any WVSSAC-affiliated high school. There is no registration fee, and teams do not need to be registered for the 2022-23 VRC season to participate. Only one team from each school may attend. If your school has been fielding multiple VRC teams during the RECF season, you can combine all your school's students and robots into a single WVSSAC Robotics team.

The event schedule will be roughly as follows. This schedule is tentative and any changes to the schedule will be communicated to registered teams via email.

7:30 AM: Doors 0pen, inspection begins
9:00 AM: Drivers meeting
9:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Qualification matches
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch break
1:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Qualification matches
3:45 PM - 4:45 PM: Round of 16, Quarterfinal, and Semifinal matches
4:30 PM: Finals & Third Place matches
5:00 PM: Awards

The event is tentatively scheduled for the Fairmont State University Feaster Center (#8 on the campus map). Our use of the Feaster Center is subject to change as it may be needed by the university's Acrobatics & Tumbling team. We have secured an alternate venue off-campus in Fairmont and expect to make a final decision regarding the venue in early April.

All head-to-head, skills challenge, and practice fields will use the portable field perimeter (276-8242). Therefore, GPS field codes will be present on all fields.

Our robotics events are always in need of volunteers. All volunteers are provided with lunch and a T-shirt, and we have volunteer roles available for all ages and levels of previous experience. For more information or to sign up, visit our volunteer page:
